Originally from Bucharest, Romania, Daescu now resides in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. His athletic journey began with college tennis on a scholarship at the University of Oklahoma, where Daescu graduated in 2010 as an All-American during his senior year. Following my collegiate career, he transitioned to the professional tennis circuit, competing for five years and reaching a career-high ranking of 120 in the world in doubles. Daescu proudly represented Romania in the Davis Cup and had the honor of competing in the prestigious 2015 US Open.
Daescu's path took a new direction in 2017 when he discovered pickleball at the BallenIsles Country Club in Florida. Since then, he has been actively participating in tournaments, embracing the dynamic nature of the sport. Notable achievements include clinching the title of MLP Atlanta Champion in 2023 with the Orlando Squeeze and earning a silver medal in the 2024 PPA Mesa Open.
