Dominique Schaefer's journey in sports is as diverse as it is impressive. Originating from Lima, Peru, she first made waves in the world of professional tennis, proudly representing her homeland in prestigious events like the Fed Cup. Her achievements extended to the junior grand slams, where she ranked an impressive #23 on the ITF circuit.
In 2023, Dominique made a pivotal decision to transition full-time into pickleball, drawn by its rapid rise as the fastest-growing sport in the US. Introduced to the game by her father, she initially approached it for fun but quickly found herself captivated by its unique challenges and rewards. Since then, Dominique has notched up an impressive tally of two single gold medals and a bronze, cementing her status as a formidable presence on the pickleball court.
Outside of her athletic pursuits, Dominique finds joy in spending time with friends and immersing herself in outdoor activities. Currently calling Boca Raton, Florida, her home, she continues to pursue excellence in pickleball while embracing the vibrant lifestyle of the Sunshine State.
