Jade Kawamoto grew up in Maui, Hawaii, and began playing pickleball in 2019 when her dad introduced her to it after a successful D-1 tennis career at the University of Dayton, where she played with her twin sister Jackie Kawamoto. Jade graduated with an International Relations degree and now works full-time for the NCAA as an assistant director in the eligibility center. 

Jade and Jackie frequently play doubles together, but prefer to play against each other to “figure out who the parents are rooting for.” 

As Jade and Jackie have made a name for themselves, they help host tournaments to raise money for Alzheimer’s research in their current hometown of Indianapolis, IN.
