Kate Fahey had a standout collegiate tennis career at the University of Michigan, where she was a three-time All-American, a two-time Big Ten Player of the Year, and became the winningest player in program history. Following her success in college, she competed professionally, reaching career-high rankings of No. 492 in doubles and No. 505 in singles before retiring due to wrist injuries.
Her introduction to pickleball came unexpectedly when a coworker invited her to play a local tournament one summer. Thinking it would be a fun experience, she agreed—and from that moment on, she was hooked. Now, she plays as often as she can, fully embracing the sport.
Beyond tennis and pickleball, Kate has a diverse athletic background, having competed in soccer, lacrosse, basketball, gymnastics, ballet, and horseback riding. She still has a deep love for horseback riding and enjoys finding stables to ride wherever she goes.
