He earned a singles runner-up finish at the PPA Tour Asia Malaysia Open and reached the semifinals at the PPA Tour Asia Tokyo Sansan Open. With a background in tennis and padel, Hatakeyama brings an attacking style to the court, using his reach, strategic shot selection, and ability to read and outthink opponents to gain an edge.
