Olivia McMillan's journey into pickleball began in 2018, while she was still primarily focused on tennis. It was the influence of her peers, who gradually transitioned to pickleball, that led her to give the sport a try. From the moment she stepped onto the court, McMillan was captivated by the game's fast-paced nature and soon found herself hooked. Despite not possessing the stature or strength of some players, McMillan's competitive spirit and tenacity shine through in every match. She embraces her left-handed advantage, leveraging it to gain an edge over her opponents.
Currently sponsored by Selkirk and proudly holding the title of PPA gold card touring pro, McMillan hails from Charleston, SC, where her passion for pickleball continues to flourish. As a certified PPR professional Level instructor, she has discovered a new passion in teaching the sport, using her platform to educate and inspire others about its growth and potential.
With over seven medals in pro tournaments, both in singles and doubles, McMillan's dedication and hard work are evident in her achievements on the court. Looking ahead, she sees herself evolving into a player defined by her scrappiness, resilience, and unwavering determination. For McMillan, the journey as a professional athlete is just beginning, and she is eager to embrace all that lies ahead, knowing that the best is yet to come.
