Introduced to pickleball in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic by her parents in 2020, Rachel Summers swiftly transitioned from her background in Division III tennis at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia. There, she established herself as a formidable force, earning the title of two-time All-American in singles.
Drawing from her tennis foundation, Summers adeptly embraced the nuances of pickleball, quickly mastering its fundamentals before delving into its strategic intricacies.
Among her notable achievements, Summers clinched consecutive victories in the Challenger Level MLP Championships as a valued member of the Bay Area Breakers, underscoring her prowess on the pickleball court.
While pursuing her fourth year of medical school, Summers also serves as a dedicated member of the U.S. Army Reserves, embodying a commitment to both academic and military excellence.
