Growing up in a large family with five sisters and one brother, Riley learned the value of teamwork and perseverance from an early age. His tennis scholarship at a Division I college in Seattle provided him with the opportunity to further hone his athletic abilities.
Riley's introduction to pickleball alongside his sister Lindsey marked the beginning of a successful journey in the sport. Together, they achieved gold in mixed doubles at their first 5.0 tournament, highlighting their synergy and shared passion for the game.
Outside of pickleball, Riley enjoys spending quality time with his family, attending professional sporting events, and staying active through workouts. He also cherishes the opportunity to vacation in his favorite part of the country, the Pacific Northwest, particularly during the summer months.
With an impressive record of 20 PPA Tour gold medals and 5 Major championships, Riley Newman continues to leave a lasting impact on the pickleball community, inspiring players of all levels with his remarkable achievements and dedication to the sport.
