Tina Pisnik, originally from Maribor, Slovenia, has a strong background in racket sports, particularly in professional tennis. On the WTA Tour, she achieved impressive rankings, reaching No. 29 in singles and No. 63 in doubles. Pisnik also represented Slovenia twice at the Olympics, participating in the 2000 and 2004 Games in Sydney and Athens, respectively. Unfortunately, injuries sustained from a car accident cut her professional tennis career short after seven years. Despite this setback, she continued coaching tennis in Slovenia and later moved to Chicago in 2015 with her wife Maja to pursue coaching opportunities. The couple relocated to central Florida in 2021, where they currently reside.
Pisnik's journey into pickleball began in 2022 when a friend invited her to play. Despite initial hesitations, she was drawn to the competitive aspect of the sport and dedicated herself to it wholeheartedly. In her first year competing on the pro pickleball circuit, Pisnik has already amassed notable achievements. She secured a silver medal in mixed doubles at the Vulcan Tournament of Champions and followed up with a gold medal in mixed doubles at APP Chicago. Additionally, she competes at the Challenger Level of Major League Pickleball as a member of the California BLQK Bears.
Beyond pickleball, Pisnik continues to coach tennis and enjoys spending quality time with her two kids, English Labradors named Sam and Ash. She is proudly sponsored by Chicken N Pickle and Stack Athletics.
