First Card Ad or Email? Why You Should Use Both
First Card Ad or Email? Why Not Both?
By Casie Caldwell, Business Program Manager – Pickleball Play Solutions
One of the most common questions I get from Tournament Directors is:
“Should I run a First Card Ad or an Email?”
My answer? Do both. Always.
Here’s why: Our affiliate campaigns use a single tracking link across every channel. That means whether a player signs up through the First Card Ad or the Email, the 20% commission only applies once. You’re not paying twice, you’re simply "doubling your reach".
By running both, you're creating two touchpoints with potential players instead of one. And that can make all the difference when it comes to catching attention and driving sign-ups.
Another question I often hear is whether the 20% commission applies to all registrations, even the ones you generate on your own?
Short answer: No.
If someone registers through your grassroots marketing efforts: flyers, word of mouth, social media, local clubs - we do not take a commission.
So go ahead, leverage the full power of both channels. We’re here to amplify your event, not take credit for the work you’re already doing.
Ready to maximize your tournament’s reach without paying extra?
Run both a First Card Ad and an Email—and let us help you drive more registrations today.
