DALLAS, TX - World No. 1 Anna Leigh Waters is no stranger to winning Triple Crowns.

She's also no stranger to online trolls and criticism from time to time, too.

The Instagram account @memesofpickleball is a favorite among amateurs and pros alike with timely and entertaining content that’s guaranteed to make you laugh. 

At PPA Desert Ridge, Waters claimed gold in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, but @memesofpickleball didn't really care about that.

Instead, the account was quick to compare the outfits sported by Waters and her mom, Leigh, to the beloved cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants.

The resemblance between the images is rather impressive. Even the sideline bench is almost a perfect match. The brains behind @memesofpickleball clearly have a good eye!

Cartoon comparison aside, Waters loved her pastel yellow FILA dress. 

“I honestly didn’t know what I was gonna be wearing this tournament for a little while, and then I found out a couple weeks ago and I was like, 'Man, how cute is it gonna be?' And it ended up being really cute,” she said. 

The following day, the 17-year-old hit the court in the same dress, but in a peachy orange color. While I prefer the yellow, since Waters earned a spot on the Desert Ridge Best Dressed List, she still looked like a champ. 

This isn't Waters' first appearance on the account. In July 2023, @memesofpickleball compared the orange and white fit she wore in Seattle to Whataburger.

Given Waters' remarkable success, her outfits are really the only thing these meme gurus can actually criticize.
