Best dressed at North Carolina Cup
DALLAS, TX – Championship Sunday at the Fanatics Sportsbook North Carolina Cup has come and gone, and now it’s time for the best dressed review.
And friends, there were some stellar looks this time.
Of course we need to begin with the No. 1 woman in the world, who debuted her new teal blue FILA dress that was the perfect color to win that historic 100th title. The color is stunning and so flattering on Waters, and I love the scalloped detailing and subtle cutouts on the hem. I want that look when I hit the court.
Black is always bold and experimental with her looks, and this one is no exception. This pleated Nike tennis skirt, paired with a soft green tank and a white mesh half shirt over top, is a unique choice that I don’t think anyone could pull off as well as Black. And I’m a sucker for a cute hair ribbon too.
Another FILA fit makes the best dressed list for North Carolina, but this time it’s for the men. Querrey looks so sharp in this retro look. I love the neutral cream color paired with the navy and pop of red for the hat. There's something about it, too. Maybe it's the color scheme that's very 1970s Americana that is just working for me. More of these looks, please!
This was a big tournament for Bouchard as she won her first women's singles match. Not only did she look good, but she played well, too. I love this particular look from Bouchard because it’s very reminiscent of a classic tennis dress with the pleated skirt paired with the collared tank top and the matching visor and ankle socks. It’s an all-around adorable fit.
Anyone remember the skater skirts that were all the rage around 2015? Schulte’s skirt totally reminds me of that in the best possible way. It’s so flattering and has incredible movement on the court. And paired with a black tank, it’s just simple, clean, and incredibly cute.
Parenteau has a very recognizable look that she consistently wears on the court - a fitted SKECHERS skirt, fitted tank, hat, and hair in a messy bun. This look maintains all the usual elements, but what makes it shine for me is those lavender shoes. I just love the color lavender, especially during the spring. Just lovely!
There were so many retro and stylish looks on the court in North Carolina, and I’m looking forward to this packed month of tournaments to see what outfits will hit the court next.
