Convicted killer Scott Peterson attacked in California prison over pickleball
TMZ is reporting that convicted killer Scott Peterson was attacked by a fellow inmate at Mule Creek State Prison near Sacramento, CA on Sunday... while playing pickleball.
Peterson, who is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for murdering his wife, Laci, and unborn son, Conner, in 2002, was allegedly assaulted in the yard near his housing unit.
"Our sources say Peterson hit the ball directly at the other inmate, triggering the assault," said the TMZ website. "We're told Peterson got "beat up" by the other prisoner, but his injuries were not serious enough to land him in the hospital."
Prison officials have confirmed to People Magazine that Peterson "sustained minor injuries in an incident on Sunday, March 9."
