JOOLA x TOGETHXR launch ‘She’s Got a Point’ to elevate women shaping pickleball
At the Opendoor Pickleball World Championships, JOOLA teamed up with TOGETHXR, a platform and community founded by elite female athletes to elevate women’s sports, culture, and lifestyle. If you’ve ever seen the popular t-shirts that say “Everyone watches women’s sports” this is the brand behind it. And now, they’re involved in pickleball.
TOGETHXR partnered with JOOLA to launch “She’s Got a Point” to elevate the women shaping the pickleball industry. This is more than a campaign with great merch. It’s a long-term partnership to celebrate the women in pickleball from the pro athletes to the ladies at the local courts.
JOOLA athlete and top pro, Kate Fahey shared her excitement about this collaboration.
“I’m super excited about this partnership. As a woman in sport, I just feel so supported by the UPA, JOOLA, the fellow other females that I’m playing with, and everyone in the stands. I think everybody loves watching pickleball and I think they especially love watching women too so it’s super exciting,” said Fahey in an interview with Pickleballtv.
“Every woman out here, from the pros to the 3.0s, and all who love to play this game, has a point to make on court. Seeing that celebrated on a stage this big, alongside a brand like TOGETHXR that’s built for women’s sports fans, means a lot,” Fahey said.
WNBA star, Jewell Loyd attended the Opendoor World Championships to support this new brand partnership.
“I’m so glad to be here for the inaugural day,” said Loyd in an interview with Pickleballtv. “It’s been great to really elevate women all around. We’re just getting started here.”
In addition to her basketball career, Loyd is also an avid pickleball player and JOOLA athlete. When she first saw the JOOLA x TOGETHXR collab, she knew she wanted to be a part of it.
“I kept checking my socials to make sure it was real, I thought it was so cool and I knew I wanted to be there and show my support. I know what TOGETHXR has done for the WNB and other sports as well, so I really think that this partnership will take pickleball to the next level,” said Loyd.
Pickleball is one of the rare sports that’s completely equal opportunity. Countless of the pro women including Fahey, Anna Leigh Waters, and Ava Ignatowich have shared how proud they are to compete in a sport with that’s equal pay, equal opportunity, and incredibly inclusive.
“Inclusivity is amazing. I think that’s something that any sport can take away from pickleball – it’s that they make sure it’s equal. And I love how anyone can play. That’s so awesome to see. Knowing the players, knowing their stories, seeing how they got here and where the sport is continuing to go, I think pickleball is only going to keep elevating,” said Loyd.
So far, the fan reception has been incredible for this partnership. The stands are full of “Everyone watches women’s pickleball” t-shirts while watching the best women in the game compete at the highest level.
Moral of the story: Everyone watches women’s pickleball.
