Pickleball fashion trends for spring 2025
As the PPA Tour's official fashion correspondent, it's my duty to share all the gorgeous trends I’m seeing in pickleball this spring.
From the pros to the ladies at my local courts, some notable fads are currently dominating the courts.
Let’s talk about them.
1. Bubble hem skirts
A bubble hem skirt is a type of skirt or dress where the hemline is gathered and creates this bubbled and rounded effect.

Jorja Johnson brought this trend onto the pro pickleball scene at the CIBC Texas Open, and I honestly gasped when I saw this. It’s just adorable.
A bubble hem isn't my personal favorite trend. I think the gathered hem adds extra visual weight to the person wearing it, but Johnson absolutely changed my mind because it’s so flattering.
Brands participating in the bubble hem trend include Wiskii, Aerie, Free People, and Abercombie’s athletic wear line, Your Personal Best.
2. Trending colors
Butter Yellow
Whoever decided to make butter yellow a staple color this spring has the key to my heart.
It just brings me so much joy seeing this color everywhere in athleisure.
Most recently, Tyra Black and Parris Todd wore matching butter yellow sets from Alo at the CIBC Texas Open. Not only did they look absolutely fabulous, they also won gold together at the tournament. The talented duo proved that if you look good, you play good.
Anna Leigh Waters’ favorite athletic wear brand, Fila, recently launched their collaboration with Hailey Bieber that features an entire collection of light yellow. And I cannot be convinced I don’t need this entire collection in my pickleball wardrobe.
Light Pink
Another notable color I’m seeing on the court is pastel pink. This light, airy color is a nice change from the bright Barbie pink from last summer.
Baby pink is stunning, ultra girly and feminine, but also perfect for spring.

Anna Leigh Waters recently debuted a new pink set from FILA with more of a rosey undertone. It's gorgeous and so flattering on her.

And Jorja looks like a perfect little pickleball ballerina in this outfit.
And of course, Tyra Black and Parris Todd participated in the pink trend too, although they went more with a bubble gum pink. But leave it to these two to always be in style.
Of all the light pinks, I prefer Anna Leigh’s darker pink because that color is more flattering on my skin tone. I wish I could look as elegant as the pros do in baby pink.
Emerald Green
And the final trending color I’m seeing for the spring is green.
Unlike the pastel yellow and pink, this green is bright, bold, and stands out so beautifully on the court. This shade ranges from an emerald green from 11NIL, to a softer spruce green from Alo, or a light minty green from Abercrombie.

Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns in mixed doubles have been rocking the trendy bright green and pairing it with pops of yellow – this color combo is so fun.

Genie Bouchard has also been rocking this color recently with New Balance, and she’s pairing it with neon yellow.
I'm not a fan of neon anything, but I appreciate just how striking the color combo is on the court.
3. Zipper detailing
This is an interesting trend because it also includes the men.
I recently attended the Veolia Cape Coral Open and saw at least 10 of the male pros sporting similar T-shirts with zippers on the collar.
Michael Loyd, Noe Khlif, and Martin Emmrich all participated in this trend. Adding a zipper takes what would be a pretty basic T-shirt and gives the look a little extra personality.
Stack* athletics has some great zip tees for the guys that provide an effortlessly cool look.
But for women, this trend is just as popular. I’m seeing zipper detailing primarily on tennis dresses.

At the PPA Masters, Jorja Johnson and Tyra Black wore long sleeve white tennis dresses from 11NIL that jumpstarted the zipper detailing for the pro women this year.
The zipper is also a super functional element for playing pickleball. If you want to cover up from the sun, you easily can, or if you need more ventilation, you can undo it.
Wilson has a ton of these. And just look at them – it’s country club chic.
I don’t know if I love the zipper detailing myself. I love it on the guys, but I favor softer and more girly styles and silhouettes compared to the sportier and edgier styles. That’s purely personal preference.
Either way, players who wear this trend look so cool.
4. Corsets and bodice details
I think all these trends can be summed by this dress from 11NIL.

These dresses are everywhere on the pro court and I can see why. They're flattering, feminine, and photograph so beautifully.
Corsets and bodice detailing are historically associated with shaping a woman’s curves, so this look is unbelievably flattering on a variety of shapes.
This look is also super trendy off the court, and I love a little bodice.
They’re so cute and they make you look so good.
It's especially cool how brands are able to recreate this silhouette with athletic material. A corset should not look this good in spandex and polyester, but it does.
Just because a look is trendy off the court doesn’t mean you can’t be trendy on the court, too, so this style is a win for me.

That wraps up the pickleball fashion trends for spring.
I hope you try some of these out and look absolutely fabulous while enjoying America's fastest-growing sport.
