Alix Truong debuts apparel partnership with Kamito Pickleball
Up-and-coming pickleball talent Alix Truong is making waves not just with her performance on the court, but with her sense of style as well. She recently revealed a new partnership with Kamito Pickleball, a Vietnam-based brand known for its apparel and paddles.
Truong expressed strong enthusiasm about this latest milestone in her career.
“The PPA Asia Da Nang Cup was a turning point for me,” said Truong. “Winning in Vietnam felt like a homecoming for my brother Jonathan and I, and it opened doors across Asia. Kamito is a respected sports brand in Vietnam and had expressed interest in partnering. My dad helped make the connection, working late nights (and early mornings in Vietnam) to finalize the deal.”
As a Vietnamese American athlete who has deepened her connection to her heritage through PPA Asia events in adulthood, Truong sees this partnership as an ideal fit.
“It means a lot that Kamito recognizes my potential as an athlete and an inspiration to Vietnamese fans. They’re helping me grow as a professional pickleball player by producing high-quality paddles and apparel under my name, and their marketing has been exceptional,” she said.
“Our launch events in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City were incredible. They’ve pushed me, supported my development, and given me opportunities to learn more about my culture and my family’s roots. Vietnamese marketing and American marketing are very different, and I’m lucky to be learning both approaches so I can take advantage of both markets. I appreciate both of my cultures, so this is super exciting to follow along with.”
“My starting kit included two tops and two short skirts, which Kamito developed after scouting my Instagram before we even met. The first version was great, and their adjustments for the current version fit me perfectly. I’m really happy with how the looks turned out.”
Kamito has dubbed Truong “The Pickleball Princess,” and she certainly carries that image with her graceful on-court presence. So far, she’s been seen in sleek, all-white outfits that are both functional and polished, allowing her game to stand out. If the rest of the collection follows this same direction, it looks like fans are in for something impressive.
In addition, Truong will also be launching her own signature paddle.
“We’ll be launching a few items next month under the Alix Truong collection, including my signature paddle, a creative take on familiar designs that I believe rivals other name brands,” she shared. “I debuted these pieces at our launch events in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Later this year, we’ll release a full collection featuring girly pieces, skirts, and dresses — Kamito’s first athlete collaboration on apparel.”
Even more exciting, Truong will have a hand in the design process, giving her the opportunity to bring her own creativity into her on-court style.
“I’m excited to be involved in the design and production,” said Truong. “I think the collection will appeal to both Vietnamese and American women for on and off-court style.”
