I’m a sucker for a twirly skirt. Not only are they incredibly flattering, but they also photograph beautifully on the court. Todd and Rohrabacher wore gorgeous light pink tiered skirts from alo that felt both pretty and feminine. Rohrabacher paired hers with a long-sleeve white top, while Todd styled hers with a matching pink top. So cute.

Best dressed at the SXY Newport Beach Open presented by JOOLA
From spring-inspired looks to Leigh Waters’ graphic T-shirt, the fashion game was on point at the SXY Newport Beach Open presented by JOOLA.
Here are the best dressed players who brought style to the courts in Southern California.
Hurricane Tyra Black and Jorja Johnson
Black and Johnson returned to the Best Dressed List with these gorgeous burgundy looks from Lululemon. The white piping on Black’s top is incredibly flattering, and when paired with her signature pearl necklace and white visor, the outfit feels effortlessly clean and sophisticated. Johnson opted for a similar long-sleeve top to coordinate with her women’s doubles partner, while still letting her own style shine through. I love how their looks complement each other while still showing their individuality.
Frazier may not have been rocking his usual playful SpongeBob or Peanuts fits, but he still delivered an incredibly cool look from Volair. The standout piece was a color-blocked black and blue T-shirt, which he paired with black shorts and black court shoes for a sleek, athletic vibe. While Frazier also wore a red and black version of the outfit during the event, the blue was easily my favorite. Well done!
Rachel Rohrabacher and Parris Todd
Nicole Conard and Will MacKinnon
Color coordination is always a win for pro pickleball partners, and Conard and MacKinnon absolutely nailed this look in Newport Beach. Featuring a charming white and lilac color palette, MacKinnon wore a light purple shirt with white shorts, while Conard paired a fitted purple skirt with a white tank and her signature sparkly headband. These outfits are definitely my inspiration for spring pickleball fashion.
I’m loving all of Waters’ new looks from Nike this tournament season. While her on-court fashion has already had some standout moments, this pre-match warm-up crewneck might be my favorite yet. Waters paired it with a sleek white skirt and dainty necklaces for an effortlessly stylish look. I’m hoping we’ll soon see her walk onto Championship Court in a full Nike tracksuit. From warm-up to cool-down, Waters is definitely elevating the fashion game.
Christian’s outfit proves that a clean, monochromatic look never fails. An all-white ensemble always feels effortlessly chic, and there’s a lot to admire in this one. Her Mizuno dress stands out with its sleek silhouette and the subtle blue stripe on the collar, which adds just the right touch of visual interest. The white hat, finished with her KK logo, ties the look together perfectly. With flattering fits like this, it’s no surprise that she keeps showing up on the Best Dressed List.
I always love seeing what Waters chooses to wear while sitting courtside, and this look might be a new favorite. She paired her go-to Gucci shorts with a white visor and a Nike “Got That Dog In Me” graphic T-shirt, an outfit that only someone as effortlessly fabulous as Leigh could pull off.
