Best dressed at the Walgreens Open at the Las Vegas Strip

It may still feel like summer, but it’s officially September, which means we’re quickly approaching fall fashion. And at the Walgreens Open at the Las Vegas Strip, half the pros were dressed in their summertime best pickleball fits, and the other half were setting trends for fall pickleball fashion. Either way, they looked good.

Here are the best dressed players from the Walgreens Open at the Las Vegas Strip.

Federico Staksurd

In mixed doubles, Staksrud dressed to impress. Clad in a maroon t-shirt and dusty mauve shorts from JOOLA, this color combo is just easy on the eyes. Paired with white high socks and white Babolat shoes with a dark burgundy sole, it’s a clean look where all the details go together seamlessly.

Genie Bouchard

Every time Bouchard steps out on court, you know she’s going to be serving up style. In Vegas, Bouchard wore a white New Balance dress and teal boy shorts that perfectly matched her teal court shoes. It’s simple, sleek, and effortlessly stylish.

Lingwei Kong

We have a new face on the Best Dressed List. Kong served up a stunning blue ensemble that proves the point that a monochromatic look is always a winner. Clad in a bright blue tank top, fitted sky blue pleated skirt, matching light blue Kumpoo court shoes, and topped off with a navy and blue headband, blue is absolutely her color.

Hayden Patriquin

Patriquin is a pro with a go-to look on the court, and he doesn’t usually sway too far outside his comfort zone. But for a player who doesn’t wear much color on the court, this teal shirt is a big change – and a good one. The color is gorgeous, and styled with black shorts, a black hat, and white Nike court shoes and high socks, Patriquin looks fresh.

Tyra Hurricane Black and Jorja Johnson

The women’s dubs champions, Black and Johnson looked absolutely electric in these bright pink dresses from 11NIL. The corset tops are so flattering and the color pops beautifully on the court.

I also love their matching white tanks and high slit skirts from alo they wore at the semi-finals. And those were the outfits Black and Johnson wore to upset the No. 1 Waters and Bright tandem, so perhaps those fits brought them some good luck. The adage that if you look good, you play even better is absolutely true.

Layne Sleeth

Cheetah print is so trendy off the court now that we’re moving into the fall months, and I love to see streetwear trends incorporated into athleticwear. So this fitted dress from Stack* is so flattering and so chic on Sleeth.

Rafa Hewett

Hewett decided to bring a little pop of color to the court, and I respect the boldness. He wore a neon pink t-shirt from Adidas, and styled it expertly with white shorts and black Adidas accessories. Most pro outfits fall short in terms of styling, but Hewett accessorized like a pro and kept things simple and sleek. Well done.

Lucy Kovalova

Kovalova is one of the best dressed regulars because she consistently shows up in the coolest outfits. In Vegas, Kovalova rocked these black and white dresses from Nike that are so incredibly flattering with the cutouts on the side and back. I also love the pop of pink detailing – just so cute.

Honorable mention:

Dave Fleming and Adam Stone

The voices behind the pro match commentaries, broadcasters Fleming and Stone decided to match their behind-the-mic outfits. And there’s nothing I love more than when a partnership matches on and off the pickleball court. So hats off to you!
