Pickleball fashion trends for fall 2025

The leaves have changed, the temperature has dropped, and I’m writing this while sipping on a pumpkin spice latte.

We’re well into the fall season, so let's explore pickleball fall fashion trends for 2025.

Trending colors

One of the easiest ways to dress on trend is simply by wearing trending colors. These colors include burgundy, forest green, orange, and navy

These colors pop up every year for fall in streetwear styles, but they're just as popular in athleticwear and athleisure.

Wilson’s new fall line prominently features maroon, navy, and this red clay color that’s this gorgeous burnt orange. These colors are classically fall and look good all season.

Another color to highlight is espresso brown. This dark cocoa brown is so popular because of the dark color, so it has the same slimming effect that black does, but it’s a little bit more exciting than just a black set.

Lavender

The final color that is so popular for fall is the one that completely comes out of left field. It’s lavender.

When Anna Leigh Waters sports a lilac FILA set at the Veolia Cincinnati Showcase, I was really surprised by the color choice. Lavender is a quintessential spring and summer color, and to see her continue to wear it into the fall baffled me.

Jorja Johnson, Hurricane Tyra Black, Parris Todd, and Anna Bright (Best Dressed List regulars) have also recently worn lavender on the court this fall, and some of their mixed doubles partners like Ben Johns and Hayden Patriquin have worn lavender arm sleeves to match.

But lavender isn’t a trending color only on the court. Lululemon’s fall collection features a dusty lilac color, and JOOLA also incorporated a dusty mauve in their latest collection. Clearly, light purple is the "it" color for the season.

Trending prints

There’s some really fun prints that are popular right now for autumn athleticwear. Animal prints like cheetah and leopard print are super trendy. A a muted paisley is also a pretty print for the season.

And for the people who rocked gingham in the spring and summer, houndstooth is a nice change up for the checkerboard pattern that appears similar from afar, but up close, it has a bit more movement and visual interest.

Though I’m not a huge pattern girl, I like the subtleties of these patterns for fall.

Collegiate and pro team merch

Between back to school season and football season, fall is the perfect time to wear your favorite college or pro team’s merch.

Americans, for example, love to rep their favorite teams, so it’s no surprise that there’s been a pretty dramatic influx of popular brands selling t-shirts, hoodies, and crewnecks branded with all your favorite pro sports franchises.

So if you want to rep your alma mater or just love the Detroit Lions, now is the time to wear it on the court because you’ll be very on trend.

T
racksuits

If you have yet to invest in a tracksuit, let this be your sign. Tracksuits are a staple in the fall and winter because they’re both fashionable and functional.

You can never go wrong with the classic Adidas tracksuit, but there are so many different varieties on the market that are incredibly cool and can fit your style. For athletes, a tracksuit is a must-have.

Layered pieces

Since it’s getting colder outside, it’s time for pickleball players to layer up. Layered pieces are great because they keep you nice and warm, but I particularly like the faux layered look.

Think the early 2000s layered tank top and long-sleeve look, but modernize it and make it sporty chic with a strappy bra top and tank top overlay.

On that note, I really don’t like when the pro men wear compression leggings with a pair of shorts over top. Something about that look is so visually atrocious to me. Instead, just wear regular shorts or invest in a tracksuit.

Racing stripes

Racing stripes are super popular right now, specifically in leggings, sweatpants, and biker shorts. The stripes along the side of athletic pants is a timeless look that never goes out of style. It’s very collegiate, relaxed, and cool.

Personally, I prefer the more feminine styles and silhouettes, so the racing stripes aren’t a go-to look for me, but I really enjoy subtle styles like a singular piping detail on the side. I think those are so flattering.
