2025 Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships sets attendance, participation, viewership records
The PPA Tour confirmed on Wednesday that the 2025 Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships was a record-breaking event on several fronts.
A total of 60,246 fans visited Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch, TX from start to finish to see World No. 1 Anna Leigh Waters become the winningest player in Tour history, claiming a Triple Crown to win her record-breaking 168th career title.
Nearly all 50 states were represented in the amateur competition, which featured a record 4,400 participants, including players from 38 countries competing in more than 6,000 matches during the world’s biggest pickleball event.

In terms of fan engagement, Pickleballtv saw a record 70 million minutes viewed across the event and official social media handles accumulated 54 million impressions. Earned media coverage also generated a record-setting 1.2 billion potential international and domestic impressions.
“We came back to Brookhaven this year in anticipation of putting on the largest, greatest event the pickleball world has ever known, and we did just that,” said PPA Tour Founder & CEO Connor Pardoe. “This was the 100th PPA event and it was a remarkable showcase of how much we have grown, with intense competition on both the pro and amateur side, and the insane crowds filling Pickleball Boulevard and Nature's Sunshine Championship Court daily. We feel confident in saying that the 2025 edition of the Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships was the most extraordinary tournament in pro pickleball history.”
The event, which spanned two weekends, began with the St. Louis Shock defeating the Dallas Flash to secure the Edward Jones MLP Cup. The first-ever Adidas Collegiate World Championships were also played, which saw teams from universities across the globe come together in the Lone Star State, and Utah Tech University reigned supreme.
As the week progressed, the pickleball celebration continued with Junior PPA play, the adaptive wheelchair competition, and the Battle of the Badges and Battle of the Branches, during which military veterans and first responders hit the court.

The Celebrity Pickleball Showdown saw NBA Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki, World Series Champion J.D. Martinez, NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, and international gaming star Tfue go head-to-head and compete alongside pro pickleball’s brightest stars.
The final weekend also featured the PPA Challenger Showdown, in which the top players from this year’s inaugural PPA Challenger Series season competed for a PPA Tour contract offer.
