Anna Leigh Waters to make international debut at PPA Tour Asia's MB Hanoi Cup
For the first time in her career, Anna Leigh Waters will bring her pickleball prowess overseas to compete on one of PPA Tour Asia’s biggest stages, the MB Hanoi Cup, which will begin on April 1.
The 19-year-old superstar will compete in women’s doubles with Anna Bright and mixed doubles with Ben Johns at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Club in Hanoi, Vietnam, in what marks a milestone moment for the pickleball's international growth.
“Making my international debut in Vietnam is one of the highlights of my career,” Waters said. “I’ve experienced the sport’s growth in the U.S., and I am honored to be part of the first PPA Tour Asia event in Hanoi.”
After the tournament, Waters will travel to Ho Chi Minh City to host a clinic and showcase with Franklin Sports on April 6-7.
“Anna Leigh represents the very best of the sport. Seeing her compete on the international stage in Hanoi and participate in our Franklin showcase in Ho Chi Minh is a powerful step to engage fans and inspire new players as pickleball continues to expand across Asia and around the world,” said Jared Franklin, Had of International at Franklin Sports.
