Top seeds Anna Bright and James Ignatowich eased past No. 23 seeds Mary Brascia and Jaume Martinez Vich 11-4, 11-4 to end their day on a high note.

While Bright earned a mixed silver medal last week in Bristol with Christian Alshon, Ignatowich hasn’t played a mixed doubles tournament in almost two months.
After four victories on Friday, he admits that he’s still searching for his best form in Utah.
“This is my first mixed doubles tournament since June,” he shared. “It took some time, but I think I found a little bit of my groove there in the semis.”
Friday was a great run for Brascia and Martinez Vich, who made their first semifinal as a team.
After hitting the podium in Bristol with Jackie Kawamoto, Martinez Vich will have a chance to earn his second consecutive mixed doubles bronze on Sunday.
Bright and Ignatowich can capture their second PPA title together in Sunday’s final. To do so, they’ll have to beat the winner of the second semifinal pitting Jessie Irvine and Gabriel Tardio against Mari Humberg and Pablo Tellez.
