Bright, Rohrabacher participate in awkward 90s photoshoot
DALLAS, TX – When best friends join forces on the pickleball court, good things can happen.
Chemistry between partners is pivotal to doubles success, but one partnership really takes the concept of compatibility to the next level.
Anna Bright and Rachel Rohrabacher showcased their friendship in an Instagram post based on a viral TikTok trend.
During PPA Media Day, Bright and Rohrabacher showed up in oasis blue lululemon skirts and matching tank tops, which I initially thought was either a wild coincidence or a serious attempt to make the Best Dressed list for the Vizzy Atlanta Open.
But then, in the middle of the studio, Bright and Rohrabacher got on the ground and started positioning themselves to find the most wonderfully awkward pose.
Bright’s boyfriend and mixed doubles partner, James Ignatowich, was also teasing and chirping the girls.
Bright and Rohrabacher wanted to put their spin on the viral JCPenny Portraits that became popular on social media due to unconventional poses that often left the photo looking unbelievably awkward.
Conveniently enough, one of the studios wasn't in use, so they grabbed a pickleball content creator to film and document their awkward 90s photoshoot.
Inspired by some viral poses from bad family holiday cards and slightly uncomfortable couple photoshoots, Bright and Rohrabacher got creative in the Peach State.
From jumping into each other’s arms to holding each other’s faces uncomfortably close, these ladies tried everything... and the results were wonderfully odd.
They also shared behind-the-scenes video of Bright failing to jump into Rohrabacher’s arms, wardrobe malfunctions, attempting to get a serious face photo, and the pair bursting into a fit of laughter.
Bright and Rohrabacher have won three titles together, so that best-friend energy certainly translates well into tournament play.
Maybe doubles partners shold try an awkward JCPenny photoshoot to spark compatibility.
