
Eight teams, one step closer: MLP Playoffs head to Newport Beach
Eight teams. Four best-of-three matchups. One step closer to the MLP Championship.
The 2026 MLP Playoffs roll on with the Toray MLP Playoffs – Newport Beach, where the league’s top four seeds will meet the four teams that battled their way through Dallas.
The matchups
The quarterfinal round in Southern California features four compelling series:
- No. 1 New Jersey 5s vs. No. 7 Palm Beach Royals
- No. 2 St. Louis Shock vs. No. 8 Texas Ranchers
- No. 3 LA Mad Drops vs. No. 6 Dallas Flash
- No. 4 Columbus Sliders vs. No. 5 Brooklyn Pickleball Team
Each series will be played in a best-of-three format, meaning there’s little room for error.
A fast start and the ability to handle pressure moments will be everything.
What’s at stake
The winners will punch their tickets to the semifinals in New York City, moving one step closer to lifting the MLP Championship trophy.
With top seeds entering the fray and lower seeds carrying momentum from Dallas, expect a mix of heavyweight showdowns and potential upsets.
