Here’s what pros are saying about the LT Pro 48 ball
It’s been almost two months since Life Time’s LT Pro 48 ball was announced as the official ball of the PPA Tour.
In the announcement, Life Time Founder, Chairman, and CEO Bahram Akradi explained that the ball was created to combat the issues of inconsistent bounces and durability often seen in other balls.
“We identified a problem and addressed it by engineering a ball that bounces truer and lasts longer, holding up under the stress of professional play,” he mentioned.
I’ve used the ball on multiple occasions and can wholeheartedly vouch for the consistent bounces and durability of the ball.
But I’m not a pro.
So, here’s what some PPA Tour pros had to say about the LT Pro 48 ball after using it in three straight events:
- “Best ball in the business right here. Gives you an actual bounce every time. Can’t beat it.” – Rafa Hewett
- “It’s been amazing. The ball has been so much more consistent than the previous ball we had, which would be good for about a game or so. This one lasts for the entire match, so I recommend it to everyone. It’s a little bit harder to put top spin on it, especially when you’re flicking, but apart from that, it plays amazing.” – Jay Devilliers
- “I’m a big fan of the Life Time ball. It bounces true every single time, and I didn’t realize just how much that would change pickleball strategy. It’s unlocked the ability to take the ball off the rise, and knowing where the ball is going to be every time has changed the sport.” – Zane Navratil
- “It’s probably the most consistent ball I’ve ever played with. You can expect true bounces every time. You might not be able to put as much spin on the ball as maybe some other ones on the market, but it’s super consistent and it’s always playable to what you like.” – Riley Newman
Pretty good reviews so far.
