Judit Castillo earns Triple Crown on home soil at P250 Barcelona Open

Judit Castillo couldn’t have scripted a better homecoming at PPA Tour Europe’s P250 Barcelona Open.

The 27-year-old Spaniard was the talk of the tournament with a Triple Crown performance at Tennis Despí last week.

Castillo captured women's singles over Hannah Blatt, then teamed up with Blatt to defeat Olivia McMillan and Katie Morris in women’s doubles, and finally partnered with Zane Navratil to beat Morris and Tom Protzek in mixed doubles.

Sweeping all three disciplines made it an especially unforgettable showing.

"It was an amazing experience. First, shout out to my partners Hannah and Zane. It's been wonderful playing with them, getting to play solid, and trying to find a way in every match," said Castillo. "Playing at home, having my family here, my childhood friend, my physio, having my friends from high school here, my boyfriend supporting from the US, waking up crazy early every morning, it's been wonderful. I'm super thankful for them. It just feels great to come back to Spain. I miss it a lot, and just to get to be here, it means a lot."

Castillo, who resides in Dallas, also took to social media to share another heartfelt note of appreciation for her supporters.

The inaugural PPA Tour Europe campaign features 20 events across nine countries, €545,000 in total prize money, and a road that leads to PPA Finals Europe in May 2027.
