Junior PPA star Jack Loughridge hits the court with Andre Agassi to mark National Pickleball Month

Junior PPA standout and JOOLA athlete Jack Loughridge enjoyed a memorable Saturday.

The 11-year-old participated in the inaugural "Agassi Open Play Day" at Life Time Green Valley in Henderson, NV.

Life Time facilities nationwide invited people to participate in simultaneous open play on their 775 pickleball courts nationwide to celebrate National Pickleball Month.

Tennis legend Andre Agassi is the chair of the Life Time Racquet Sports Board, so he was front and center for the festivities, hitting the court with players aplenty, including Loughridge.

"Got to play and hang out with Mr. Andre Agassi - he’s not only an accomplished athlete, but very generous and super funny too," wrote Loughridge on Instagram. "Always amazed at the connections made through this game with a funny name. Pickle on!"

Joining Agassi and Loughridge on-site were Bahram Akradi, founder and CEO of Life Time, UPA Tour pro Ryan Sherry, and Maroon 5 guitarist and vocalist James Valentine.

Sherry enjoyed his "Open Play Day" experience, too, especially playing doubles alongside Agassi's son, Jaden, a former pitcher at USC, who threw for Team Germany in the World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in March.

Andre Agassi and his wife, Steffi Graf, are among pickleball's top ambassadors.

The couple recently participated in the 2025 JOOLA Pickleball Legends Tour in Vietnam and China to showcase the sport in Asia.

They were joined by Ben Johns, Anna Bright, Brooke Buckner, Tyson McGuffin, Collin Johns, and Zoey Wang for clinics, exhibitions and product demonstrations.
