
Major League Pickleball's Premier, Challenger Levels set for 2024
DALLAS, TX - The 2024 Major League Pickleball season continues to take shape after the official breakdown of its 24 franchises was made available on Monday.
The franchises will be evenly split between the Premier and Challenger Levels.

According to a press release, MLP used a Dutch Auction process to determine which teams would play in either Level.
The franchises placing the 12 highest bids joined the Premier Level, while the remaining 12 franchises make up the Challenger Level.

The press release confirmed a few additional details as well.
All teams will play up to 40 regular season matches across their eight scheduled regular season events (individual team schedules will vary across MLP’s 15 regular season events), and all teams will participate in the Mid-Season Championship in Grand Rapids, MI in July.
The top six teams in both Premier and Challenger will qualify for the season-ending MLP Playoffs.
The top four Challenger teams in 2024 – determined by season-long results – will be promoted to Premier for 2025.
