Mixed doubles semifinals moved to Saturday morning due to inclement weather
BRISTOL, TN - The mixed doubles semifinals at the IHG Hotels and Resorts Bristol Open presented by Deep Eddy Vodka have been pushed to Saturday morning due to inclement weather.
Rain has been a factor at Bristol Sportsplex throughout the day, and the most recent downpour—coupled with the expectation of more rain in the evening—has led to the two semifinals being pushed to Saturday morning.
Those matches are set to be played before men’s and women’s doubles action gets underway and are scheduled to begin at 9am EST.
The semifinal matchups will feature top seeds Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns taking on No. 4 seeds Tina Pisnik and Dekel Bar and No. 2 seeds Anna Bright and Christian Alshon facing No. 14 seeds Jackie Kawamoto and Jaume Martinez Vich in a battle of first-time partnerships.
You can catch the action on the PPA YouTube.
