MLP Premier Trade Alert: Garnett to Utah, Devilliers to Columbus
DALLAS, TX - In the second Major League Pickleball trade of the day, the Columbus Sliders are sending Connor Garnett to the Utah Black Diamonds in exchange for Jay Devilliers.
This is the second roster change of the day for the Sliders, who executed a trade to send Brooke Buckner to the Carolina Pickleball Club in exchange for Andrea Koop earlier Monday morning.
Garnett will join forces with Tyler Loong, Callie Smith, and Alix Truong on a Utah squad that continues to search for its first win of the season.
Devilliers will now compete for Columbus, a team featuring Riley Newman, Meghan Dizon, and Andrea Koop. The Sliders are currently in a four-way tie for eighth place in the Premier standings.
Both teams will be in action later this week at the Vulcan MLP Salt Lake City by Margaritaville event. Garnett will make his debut with the Black Diamonds against the AZ Drive on Friday, while Devilliers’ first match with Columbus will be against the Orlando Squeeze—the team that originally drafted him—on Thursday.
