Navratil, Lange lock up bronze in men's doubles
PHOENIX, AZ - It didn’t take long to figure out what strategy Zane Navratil and Erik Lange wanted to employ in their men’s doubles bronze medal match: play fast.
The No. 12 seeds drove nearly every third shot at Christian Alshon and Julian Arnold, looking to use those drives to get on offense when they served.
They did that to near perfection in Game 1 and took it 11-1.
Alshon and Arnold handled the attacks better in Game 2, but Navratil and Lange pulled it out 13-11 to win the day and get Lange his first pro medal since 2021.
This match is just the warmup to the men’s doubles final between Ben and Collin Johns and Tyson McGuffin and Dekel Bar happening Sunday afternoon.
