Night Owls bring in new men’s doubles duo of Hovenier, Hewett
DALLAS, TX - The Las Vegas Night Owls will have a new men’s doubles team the next time they take the court.
They traded Anderson Scarpa (and an undisclosed amount of money) to the Los Angeles Mad Drops in exchange for Blaine Hovenier.
Hovenier had been filling in for Thomas Wilson at the past three MLP events, playing men’s doubles alongside Hunter Johnson and mixed doubles with Catherine Parenteau.
The Mad Drops waived Scarpa shortly after the trade, a move that suggests that Wilson will be ready to return to action when the Mad Drops take the court next at MLP Las Vegas in mid-October.
Las Vegas then traded Mohaned Alhouni (and cash considerations) to the California Black Bears in exchange for Rafa Hewett.
Hovenier and Hewett will join forces with Judit Castillo and Zoey Wang going forward, as Las Vegas currently sits at fifth place in the Challenger level standings.
