Sliders tap Martinez Vich to replace Devilliers at Hertz MLP New York City
Jaume Martinez Vich will replace Jay Devilliers on the Columbus Sliders for this week’s event in New York City, the team announced Friday morning.
Even though Martinez Vich competes for the Atlanta Bouncers at the Challenger level, his temporary move to Premier is allowed because Atlanta is not competing this week.
He will join forces with Riley Newman, Andrea Koop, and Meghan Dizon on a Columbus squad that is currently in last place in the Premier level standings.
The Spaniard is fresh off a silver medal in men’s doubles at the CIBC Atlanta Slam with Tyson McGuffin and will look to carry that momentum into this weekend’s action.
Columbus will take on the Utah Black Diamonds and New Jersey 5s on Friday.
