Sock, Kyrgios tease partnership at Australia Pickleball Open
One of the most exciting parts of the upcoming 2025 PPA season is the fact that, for the first time, there will be international tour stops to help promote pickleball’s growth across the globe.
The first of those events will be the Australia Pickleball Open, set to run in late January and early February in Melbourne.
Jack Sock is expected to compete at that tournament alongside other PPA Tour mainstays, including Federico Staksrud, Tyson McGuffin, Jay Devilliers, and Collin Johns.
On the most recent episode of the “Nothing Major” podcast, Sock spoke with Nick Kyrgios about the idea of playing doubles together in the Down Under.
The Australian tennis icon seemed to be open to the idea.
The two have already talked about teaming up for Sock’s final tennis tournament, but this is the first time that they have spoken publicly about joining forces on the pickleball court.
Though Kyrgios—formerly ranked No. 13 on the ATP Tour—doesn’t even have a DUPR yet, there’s no doubt that he and Sock would certainly have some fun on the 20x44.
If they do team up at a PPA event, just how far could they go?
