Train with PPA pros in paradise: Inside Pickleball Vacations
Clear your calendar and secure your spot for the inaugural Pickleball Vacations experience, powered by the PPA and MLP. Designed for passionate players, this all-inclusive getaway combines world-class pickleball with a stunning tropical setting.
The first trip takes place September 8–12, 2026, at Club Med Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
Guests will enjoy a four-night stay featuring daily structured clinics led by PPA and MLP athletes and coaches, along with unlimited open play on eight dedicated on-site courts.
And here’s the highlight: the experience is hosted by Hayden Patriquin. Currently ranked World No. 2 in mixed doubles and No. 5 in men’s doubles, he brings elite-level insight and on-court instruction—giving you the rare chance to train and play alongside one of the sport’s best.
Joining Patriquin is a talented group of fellow pro players, including Gio Morelli, Chris Crouch, and Dillion Segur, each bringing their own expertise to train, coach, and connect with guests throughout the experience.
“The focus of these trips is top-level instruction from the best talent along the PPA and MLP tours, and offering exclusive experiences with the pros,” said Lainey O’Connor, the event coordinator for Pickleball Vacations.
Morelli is eager to travel internationally and coach.
“I’m so excited about Pickleball Vacations. It’s so exciting to see the sport grow internationally, and I think this is the most fun way to grow pickleball. I mean, what better way than to be on vacation and play pickleball? I’m so excited to build a pickleball family outside of the U.S.,” said Morelli. “The PPA tour has done an incredible job keeping up with the trends and growing pickleball, and the clinics are what people love and what I personally love to teach. I can’t wait to be out on the court in the Dominican.”
Segur is especially excited to collaborate with his fellow coaches and meet the guests.
“We have amazing coaches in Hayden Gio, and Chris, who are world-class coaches in helping their students reach their goals,” mentioned Segur. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I can’t wait to participate in.”
As part of the itinerary, guests will receive eight hours of dedicated instruction and on-court time with the pros. Groups will be thoughtfully organized by skill level and competitive balance to create the best possible open play experience.
Mornings are all about learning from the best. Afternoons are your chance to put those skills into action.
And while pickleball is the main event, it’s far from the only highlight. Guests will enjoy full access to resort amenities, activities, and daily entertainment—from relaxing at the spa, pool, or beach to exploring optional excursions like snorkeling, kayaking, and sailing along the stunning Dominican coastline.
Plus, all-inclusive dining and beverages are included, always a big win.
Can’t make this trip? No problem. This inaugural getaway is just the beginning. A full calendar of Pickleball Vacations experiences at premier destinations around the world is already in the works, with more trips to be announced soon.
