UVA Pickleball, HEAD USA announce partnership in major move for collegiate pickleball
University of Virginia Pickleball and HEAD USA announced a landmark partnership on Thursday morning.
According to the release, the partnership will cover paddles, shoes, bags, and accessories for the school’s 24-member tournament team, as well as key program support.
“We are so excited to expand our relationship with UVA Pickleball,” said Katie Benson, Pickleball Promotions and Partnerships Manager for HEAD USA. “Over the past two years, we’ve watched this team perform at the highest level of collegiate pickleball while also building an organization that pays just as much attention to building the sport recreationally on campus for the entire student body. The team’s energy is unmatched, and we look forward to chasing this new horizon with them.”
HEAD currently sponsors PPA Tour pros Callie Smith and Roscoe Bellamy.
Now, they’re getting into the college scene.
UVA Pickleball is currently ranked No. 10 in the DUPR Collegiate Power Rankings and will look to again cement its status as one of the top programs in the country at the Collegiate Pickleball Tour’s 2025 National Collegiate Championship, set to take place at Life Time Peachtree Corners in Atlanta, GA April 11-13.
