
Waters, Parenteau too strong, capture women’s doubles title
BRISTOL, TN - Anna Leigh Waters and Catherine Parenteau claimed their tenth title of 2024 with a comfortable 11-6, 11-6, 11-4 victory over No. 2 seeds Anna Bright and Rachel Rohrabacher.
The top seeds looked to be out in full force, with Parenteau playing a crafty, consistent right side and Waters finding ways to attack from both wings on the left.
It’s no secret that Waters and Parenteau suffered their first defeat as a partnership to Bright and Rohrabacher at the Austin Open back in March. That is still their only loss together.
They’ve been on an absolute tear since then, winning their last 31 matches without dropping a game.
That’s not a bad response.
Neither Waters nor Parenteau is set to compete at next week’s Picklr Utah Open, so fans can expect to see them next at the Las Vegas Pickleball Cup running Aug. 26-Sept. 1.
