Brascia family celebrates Halloween at annual Inflatable Pickleball Night
Mary Brascia, Maggie Brascia, and the rest of the Brascia crew attended the second annual Inflatable Pickleball Night at their home courts at Los Cab Sports Club in Southern California to celebrate Halloween weekend.
“This year was even bigger and better than last year. We had so much participation from our members, and it is just the silliest thing,” said Mary. “It is so fun because we parade around the courts and then attempt to play in giant inflatable costumes. It's really a challenge.”
Last year, Mary dressed up as an inflatable flamingo. This year, she dressed up as an inflatable cowboy, complete with a cowboy hat. It’s a hilarious costume, but I can only imagine how cumbersome it must be to try to hit a nice drive with it on.
Maggie and her boyfriend, Nick Black, had a couples costume that featured Nick as inflatable Santa Claus and Maggie as an inflatable elf. Black fully committed to the look and even rocked a beard and Santa hat.
Mary and Maggie's dad, Vinnie, dressed up as a personal trainer, and their mom, Ann, dressed up as a big baby. The pictures are guaranteed to make you smile.
The creativity of these inflatable costumes is impressive. From dinosaurs to koala bears, there's even a group that dressed up as bumper cars.
This is undoubtedly the funniest celebration I’ve ever seen.
Mary highly recommends that clubs host similar gatherings for their members.
“Everyone should have an inflatable pickleball party at their club courts because it really brings people together. That's what pickleball is all about, the community. Having events like this brings me so much joy. My family and I love hosting pickleball events and bringing the community together,” she said. “Everyone had a blast. People could just play in those costumes all night, and we have our EDM music going, of course. It's a great way to kick off Halloween weekend.”
The Brascias also rocked their Fun Pickleball hats at the event, and shared some exciting news about their new business venture.
“Fun Pickleball is our new company that myself, Maggie, my dad, and Nick started together, so be on the lookout for Fun hats. We've been rocking them on the PPA Tour and we're planning to sell merch, host events, and have instructional videos,” shared Mary. “This is our pickleball brand, and we're really excited to keep bringing the fun vibes to pickleball and spreading that joy all over the world because we believe the world would be a better place if everyone played pickleball.”
