Camila Zilveti recognized for viral TikTok by People Magazine
Camila Zilveti is undoubtedly one of pickleball’s most well-traveled pros.
At only 28, she has already visited over 85 countries and regularly documents her incredible excursions via Instagram.
As a way to commemorate her extensive travels, she took a denim jacket and embroidered a map of the world on the back that she fills in with the flags of countries she visits.
Zilveti shared her colorful work in progress on TikTok, and it went viral. So viral in fact that it caught the attention of People Magazine, who decided to interview her and learn more about her life.

First off, let’s talk about the main subject of the story – the classic denim jacket.
“Russia took me forever, and it was so hard to keep the lines straight going across. Lots of people commented asking how I did the tiny countries, but I made a tiny, baby stitch of whatever their flag’s color is most prevalent,” explained Zilveti.
Zilveti’s innovation and embroidery skills are impressive and equally functional for travel. There is no better and versatile coat than a denim jacket.
“It was an easy project to take along with me since I always need a jacket for traveling since airplanes love to freeze their cabins for some reason, so it was easy for me to wear it on the go as I worked on it,” she mentioned.
But instead of keeping this as her own personal project, Zilveti posted it on TikTok and the video currently has 81.3K views, 10.7K likes, over 500 saves, and 71 comments asking questions, sharing the love, and submitteing requests for Zilveti’s next country to visit.
“I’d encourage anyone who wants one to make their own since it’s a great way to learn to embroider, and you’ll feel double as proud to wear them,” she said.
It's exciting to see Zilveti's story celebrated by such a renowned publication, though I’ve been convinced for a while that People Magazine loves pickleball.
After all, they’re frequently reporting on celebrities playing pickleball, publicizing athletes who are getting involved in the picklesphere, and even posting lists for Top 10 pickleball shoes.
In short, People Magazine is rooting for America's fastest-growing sport as much as we are.
