Goldin on first win since stroke: ‘big moment for me’

To say that 2026 has been tumultuous for Grayson Goldin would be an understatement.

The 31-year-old suffered multiple strokes back in February, a health scare that sidelined him for nearly four months.

After spending part of the summer with the Palm Beach Royals in Major League Pickleball, Goldin has spent the second half of his summer playing PPA Tour Asia events overseas.

And on Thursday at the Skechers Shenzhen Open, he hit a milestone on his comeback journey: his first singles win.

Goldin beat Cameron Luhring 11-4, 11-0 in the men’s singles Round of 32 and took to social media afterwards to share just how much this win means.

“Physically, I am feeling 100% and I am moving extremely well. I give God all the glory, and I am so blessed to have made a full recovery. SO grateful to be playing this sport after everything that happened. I am loving the Asia grind and can’t wait to keep going.”

Goldin will face Mitchell Hargreaves in the Round of 16 before he and Zane Navratil take on Luhring/Adam Harvey in the men’s doubles Round of 16.
