How to have a "hot girl summer" like Genie Bouchard

Ever since podcaster Jimmy Miller claimed that Genie Bouchard wouldn't be competing in MLP tournaments this summer because it interferes with her "hot girl summer" plans (which turned out to be a false claim), she's really leaning into her summer era.

And if there’s one pro who’s the embodiment of having the "hot girl summer" phenomenon, it’s Bouchard.

Between her pickleball and tennis training, it seems like the Canadian star can’t possibly have enough hours in the day to jet set across the globe - but she makes it work.

And I am living vicariously through her Instagram feed.

“I personally am aiming for a little Euro vacation in the summer. I have some weddings to attend, so I’ll be making the most out of my time there,” said Bouchard.

To kick off her “euro wine summer” in style, Bouchard attended her sister Charlotte's wedding in Devon, UK.

A week later, she spent 24 hours in Paris, France, which is one of her favorite spots.

“I speak French, so I love going to France. I think Paris is one of the most beautiful cities, and I love going there in the summer when it’s warm and the sun stays up so late. It’ll be 11 pm and the sun is finally setting. That’s summer. Long, nice dinners, and it’s light outside by the time you’re done. It just feels like the way we should be living,” said Bouchard.

The Montreal native is pretty well traveled thanks to her tennis career.

From Saint-Tropez to Spain, Bouchard has been able to check off a lot of destinations on her bucket list.

“I love to travel because I rarely actually got to travel just for a fun vacation because my whole life I was traveling for tennis. But, I really loved Australia when I traveled there for tennis. I also love Italy because who doesn’t? The food is incredible,” she explained.

If you're looking for a "hot girl summer" like Bouchard's, just follow a few simple steps.

“Take a break. Take a vacation, book the flight, invite your friends and go do fun things. Try new things and just live your best life,” she recommended. “There’s no stopping a girl from having a hot girl summer, so no matter what you do this summer, make it have hot girl vibes.”

It’s just as easy as that.

If you can’t fly across the world, at least slam your laptop shut for the weekend, call a friend, hit the pool, go try that new restaurant you’ve been meaning to check out, and enjoy the moment.

And if you really want to be like Bouchard, wear a fabulous outfit as well.
