Riley Newman moves to New York City, rents stunning apartment
Brooklyn Pickleball Team (MLP) star Riley Newman might have one of the coolest apartments in New York City.
According to a July 17 story in the New York Post, Newman has rented a one-bedroom in the 60-story glass tower at 605 W. 42nd St. for approximately $5,000 per month.
Columnist Jennifer Gould reports that Newman’s unit is 600 square feet with floor-to-ceiling windows, oak floors, and an open kitchen.
Indoor pickleball courts were added to the building as part of the Life Time - Sky facility a couple of years ago, so he has everything he needs on-site.
"I will be playing a lot of pickleball there, and working out at the gym," said Newman. "The views are sick. I love the views of the water and downtown, and I wanted a building with top-notch amenities."
Past residents include basketball players Kristaps Porzingis and Sasha Vujacic, baseball player A.J. Ramos, and models Nina Agdal and Jen Selter.
The 32-year-old Whidbey Island, WA native is thrilled to call the Big Apple home.
"I’m a huge sports fan. I’ve never been to a Knicks game, and I’m super excited to go. The fans are so passionate," said Newman. "You don’t have that same energy and feel anywhere but in New York City."
