The Brascia family visits filming location of High School Musical 2
Mary and Maggie Brascia stayed at the "Fabulous" filming location from the Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical 2, during the Black Desert Resort Red Rock Open in Utah.
Why stay at any regular establishment when you can stay at the hotel where Zac Efron danced around a golf course contemplating his future? Or see where Vanessa Hudgens gave back the “T” necklace that certainly broke all of our pre-teen hearts? The Brascias and I agree, that movie is perfect cinema, so they had to see where it was made.
“My family and I have known about The Inn at Entrada for a couple years now because we knew this is where the amazing and iconic movie was filmed. And we finally had the opportunity to stay there during the tournament,” said Mary.
This resort has been on the Brascia family's bucket list for a while. In fact, they’ve already visited the other famous location from this beloved movie franchise – East High.

“We’ve gone on road trips through Salt Lake City and stopped at the high school where they filmed. We took pictures in front of the school and did the tour,” said Brascia.
Growing up during the peak of Disney Channel, it’s no surprise the Brascia sisters love the movies.
“My sisters and I all love the High School Musical films. All three of them. I think for me personally, High School Musical 2 is my favorite because I love the summer vibe,” said Brascia.
Brascia was more than eager to tour the facility and see where the iconic movie moments were filmed.
“I saw the bridge where Troy and Gabriella almost broke up. And the golf course where Troy does the ‘Bet On It’ scene. And of course, I saw the pool where they do the ‘All For One’ number. It was amazing to see all these spots and be where the cast was,” said Brascia. “I actually stayed in the room where Kelsey, the pianist played by Olesya Rulin, stayed. That was really cool to stay in the room where a cast member stayed.”
Simply visiting the filming location was reason enough for the Brascias to check it out. But better yet, The Inn at Entrada has 12 pickleball courts too. If only the “I Don’t Dance” scene could’ve been filmed on a pickleball court instead of baseball – maybe pickleball would’ve grown a lot faster.
But the Brascias were able to coordinate checking off this item off their bucket list by staying there during the recent Black Desert Resort Red Rock Open.
“We used the courts at Entrada to warm up before each tournament day. The courts were so well done and the atmosphere was awesome. We got to interact with a lot of the members and they were super friendly and welcoming. It looks like they have a good pickleball community at the Entrada,” complimented Brascia.
Undoubtedly, the Red Rock Open has one of the most beautiful backdrops. And the vibrancy from the movie absolutely translated over in real life.
“It was so beautiful having the Red Rocks and Snow Canyon in the background. The sunsets and sunrises were just gorgeous and some of the best views I've ever seen. I definitely want to go back,” Brascia said.
Brascia enjoyed her time so much that she and the rest of Brascia family are in the works for planning a clinic with the members at Entrada. Pinch me, that sounds like a dream.
The Red Rock Open is also where Brascia won her first gold medal on tour in 2024. So it was a joy for Brascia to return to this tournament and add a fun new experience to make this location even more memorable.
