Tyson McGuffin debuts new leg tattoos
Top pickleball athlete Tyson McGuffin officially takes the victory for the most tattoos on the pro pickleball tour. He has so many tattoos that he’s lost count. And today, McGuffin revealed the latest in his elaborate tattoo collection.
McGuffin went to Grailed Gallery in Beverly Hills, CA and worked with Lawry Fong who’s been the artist behind McGuffin’s previous designs. The result is pretty amazing.
The new ink stretches down both legs and include designs that tell the story of McGuffin’s roots, his family, and the people and things have made him into the man he is today. There are portraits of his family and his kids, the Seattle Seahawks logo, and lots of personal pickleball iconography including his first Selkirk signature paddle, his signature JOOLA, his Skechers shoes, and a pickleball.
The artwork is absolutely impeccable. The layering and shading of each black and white design comes together beautifully into one cohesive piece. There’s even an amazing replica of The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci and an image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
According to his Instagram post, it looks like there were a total of eight artists working on him at one time. One can only imagine how many hours he spent in the chair. But the time was certainly well worth it.
McGuffin previously shared that this is the final stage of his tattoos because there’s physically not much room on his body left. His feet and face appear to be the only skin not inked.
McGuffin was already known for his elaborate tattoos, but now this solidifies him as the most tatted up pro on tour. And only a guy like McGuffin can pull it off. If anyone at my local court said they were going to get a JOOLA pickleball tattoo, I’d look at them like they were crazy. But McGuffin and the artists he worked with made his collection look incredible.
It will be fun to see McGuffin’s new look when he competes next week at the Greater Zion Cup at the Black Desert Resort next week.
