Johns Cincola grew up in Moline, Illinois, where he immersed himself in basketball, tennis, and golf during his formative years. However, it was tennis that captured his passion, leading him to focus on the sport during his high school years. This dedication paved the way for a collegiate tennis career at the University of Illinois Chicago, where he competed at the Division 1 level.
Following his collegiate tennis career, John transitioned into coaching full-time, specializing in working with high-level junior players. In 2018, his journey took an unexpected turn when he was introduced to pickleball by his parents. Instantly captivated by the sport, he found himself hooked, picking up a paddle every week without fail.
Since his introduction to pickleball, he has amassed an impressive collection of over 20 professional medals and has participated in every season of Major League Pickleball except one. Recently, he and his family made the decision to relocate to Austin, Texas, drawn by the promise of better weather and enhanced opportunities in the pickleball scene. Embracing the vibrant culture of Austin, he enjoys exploring his favorite off-court hobby of disc golf with his wife and twin 8-year-old daughters, relishing in the joys of family and outdoor recreation.
