Phase two of the minor account system allows parents or guardians to connect existing minor accounts to their own Pickleball.com account. Once connected, adults can manage registrations, waivers, privacy settings, and notifications without needing to repeatedly log in with the minor’s credentials.

What Is Phase Two of Minor Account Management?

Phase two introduces a centralized way for parents or guardians to manage existing minor accounts.

This update allows adults to:

• Link an existing minor account to their parent or guardian account
• Accept waivers and media releases on behalf of the minor
• Register minors for events and edit registrations
• Manage privacy settings and notifications

Once accounts are connected, parents gain a single dashboard where they can oversee all minor activity.

This approach improves both convenience and account security.

How Do You Connect a Minor Account to a Parent Account?

The connection process starts in the minor account and finishes through the parent’s email.

Step 1: Log in to the Minor Account

Start by signing in using the minor’s existing username and password.

Then:

• Click the minor’s name in the upper-right corner
• Select My Profile
• Click Edit Profile

Near the top of the profile page, you will see a horizontal menu.

Slide or scroll through the menu until you reach Accounts Managing Me.

Step 2: Add a Parent or Guardian

Inside the Accounts Managing Me section:

• Click Add Parent
• Enter the parent or guardian’s first and last name in the search field
• Click Search

When you locate the correct person:

• Click Select
• Confirm by clicking Yes, Send

This sends an email invitation to the parent or guardian requesting account management access.

Step 3: Accept the Request From the Parent Account

Next, the parent or guardian must complete the request.

Steps for the parent:

• Sign out of the minor account
• Open the invitation email
• Log in to their Pickleball.com parent account

Important: the parent must be logged into their own account before clicking the Review link in the email. If another account is active, the link may not function correctly.

After clicking Review, the parent will see the management request.

They must then:

• Review the media release and parental consent waiver
• Type their last name in the signature field
• Check the confirmation boxes
• Click Accept

Once accepted, the minor account is successfully connected.

How Do Parents Manage Connected Minor Accounts?

After the connection is approved, the parent account displays all linked minor profiles in one location.

From this dashboard, parents can:

• View minor account details
• Enable or disable notifications
• Access profile information quickly
• Impersonate the minor account when necessary

This central dashboard allows parents to manage multiple minors efficiently.

What Is the Impersonate Feature?

The Impersonate feature allows parents to act as the minor within the system.

This makes it possible to:

• Register the minor for tournaments
• Edit existing event registrations
• Update the minor’s profile
• Complete tasks that normally require the minor account login

To impersonate:

• Click the Impersonate button next to the minor’s account.

While impersonating, the interface behaves exactly as if the minor were logged in.

When finished:

• Click the Stop button at the top of the screen

This exits impersonation and returns you to the parent account.
