Best dressed at the Greater Zion Cup at the Black Desert Resort
The Black Desert Resort delivered one of the most stunning venues in pro pickleball, with its red rock backdrop elevating the entire atmosphere. The fashion on display matched the setting—bold patterns, vibrant colors, and confident style choices showed that the world’s top players were having just as much fun with their looks as they were with their game.
Here are the best dressed athletes from the Utah tournament.
This may have been one of my favorite Nike looks from Waters. The vibrant purple complemented her skin tone beautifully, instantly catching the eye. The top was the real standout—its keyhole front and open-back design added visual interest while also offering great ventilation for the triple crown winner. Paired with a matching skirt and Nike court shoes, Waters’ latest look was a definite win.
Sometimes you just have to lean into animal print, and Perez did exactly that in his Best Dressed List debut. He took the court in men’s singles wearing cheetah print shorts from Lululemon, a bold choice that stood out in a field where this kind of pattern is rarely seen on the men’s side. Paired with a black t-shirt, white Asics, and a white hat, Perez fully brought that wild energy.
Morelli looked absolutely charming in a green gingham dress from Altar’d State. The vibrant shade popped beautifully against the red rock backdrop and orange courts, making the look even more eye-catching. Paired with white and pink Adidas court shoes, it easily stood out as one of the tournament’s top fashion moments.
Jorja Johnson and Hurricane Tyra Black
The way this women’s doubles team continues to innovate and elevate their fashion game at every tournament is seriously impressive. This all-black look is a perfect example of how to coordinate with your partner without fully matching. Johnson wore a black lace shrug over a fit-and-flare tennis dress, while Black complemented the look with a Popflex Active wrap skirt. Those thoughtful, coordinated details took their sleek outfits to the next level, making them visually striking on the court.
This men’s doubles team looked incredibly sleek on court in their white and blue color palette. Morris wore a white t-shirt, light blue shorts, a matching blue hat, and white-and-blue K-Swiss sneakers. Johnson complemented the look perfectly with a light blue shirt, white JOOLA shorts, and white Nike shoes with a white hat. Together, they delivered a clean, polished aesthetic.
The new IT girl in pickleball turned heads on center court in a sleek all-black look, proving that simplicity can be the ultimate style statement. Wearing a fitted V-neck tank and skirt from her own brand, Waev, Bond showcased her label effortlessly. Finished with a white visor, sweatbands, and Nike court shoes, she delivered a look that felt both polished and undeniably chic.
Gabe Tardio
Tardio has been leaning into pink lately, thanks to his new Stria Sport shoes—and it’s safe to say the color suits him. This ombré pink t-shirt (with a similar lookalike vibe) added a fun, playful energy to his outfit. Styled with white shorts, a GT diamond chain, and Pilla eyewear, the overall look came together effortlessly for a job well done.
