Best dressed at the Veolia Bristol Open

It’s been far too long since I investigated the players' fashion choices on the court.

Now that the PPA Tour schedule has resumed, though, we're back in business.

I’m happy to report that players showed up in style in Tennessee, and there’s even three new faces debuting on the list this time around.

Let's take a look at the the best dressed players in Bristol:

Judit Castillo

This marks Castillo’s first time on the Best Dressed List and this is a great debut look. From Nox Pickleball, Castillo wore several different variations of this kit and I loved them all. My favorite is the color blocking moment with the blue tank, white skirt, and orange waist band. It’s just so fun. Welcome to the club!

Blaine Hovenier and Julian Arnold

Arnold is one of the consistently well-dressed men on the PPA Tour. When he steps on the court, he’s elevating his partner's fashion as well. Arnold and Hovenier look fresh in sage green T-shirts (Hovenier’s is Vuiori) and white shorts. I also like that both their shoes have pops of neon yellow in them, a great coordinating touch.

Connor Garnett

Garnett decided to embrace a bold pop of color in Bristol. Wearing Zyia, Garnett paired his hot pink shorts with a black shirt, hat, and black watch band to really let the hot pink shine. Twoey hats off to Garnett.

Matt Wright

This marks Wright’s first time on the Best Dressed List and it's a great way to make an entrance. Wright’s pickleball fashion is usually a bit understated, but this new look from Original Penguin is such a pleasant surprise. He also went on to win silver in men’s doubles, so clearly there’s a positive correlation between Wright elevating his fashion and his gameplay.

Lea Jansen

There’s another new face on the Best Dressed List. Jansen went with a sporty look, and I love to see some pops of color on her. The light green JOOLA tank, paired with sleek white shorts is a good look. But I like the yellow Mizuno shoes that brings out the small peek-a-boo of neon yellow in her shorts.

Jorja Johnson and JW Johnson

I love when a doubles partnership color coordinates their outfits, and this look from the Johnson siblings is excellent. I love the hot pink paired with white bottoms. Of course I favor Jorja’s tiered mesh skirt (similar to this skirt from PopFlex) that is so flattering and so cute.

Parris Todd

I love all of Todd's alo looks from the tournament, especially the pink fit from Championship Sunday. This lavender outfit with pops of neon yellow in the seams that also match her shoes is my personal favorite. The color combo is unique and stands out beautifully on the court.

An honorable mention to her doubles partner, Hayden Patriquin, who wore lavender arm sleeves to match. Well done.

Lucy Kovalova, Meghan Dizon, and Lauren Stratman

Oh how I loved this when this popped up on my feed. Kovalova, Dizon, and Stratman all showed up in essentially matching outfits from Lululemon featuring a beautiful color combo of white and pool party blue. Great minds think alike, and all three of them look so chic.

Dylan Frazier…?

I’m on the fence about Dylan Frazier’s Spongebob look. I can’t decide if I want to applaud him for being inventive and bringing something incredibly fresh and new to the court (complete with a Spongebob pickleball paddle, too), or if I think it’s a bit tacky.

I liked the Keith Haring look, but is Spongebob too cheesy? Or the right kind of childlike wonder? I’m still deciding.
