Veronica Beard x Head Sportswear proves court fashion is the summer staple

Luxury apparel brand, Veronica Beard, normally focuses on tailored jeans, linen sets, fitted jackets, and timeless accessories. Collaborating with Head Sportswear to put their own spin on court fashion, however, yielded an utterly fab result.

The limited edition capsule collection dropped in early June - and it’s basically everything we could want in a luxury collab: mix and matchable pieces that feel fresh and clean, balanced with staples perfect for a busy summer day.

“Our goal is to design clothes for every woman out there – today’s multitasking woman who wants exceptional every day wear she can count on. Our collection is all about giving her the dream wardrobe, built for real life,” co-founder, Veronica Swanson Beard, told the Boca Raton Observer.

Now that athleisure absolutely dominates the modern woman’s wardrobe, it’s no surprise that they added a lineup of classic tennis dresses, lightweight jackets, and  sleek leggings to their collection. It’s what we live in now, the kind of pieces perfect for hitting the court, then grabbing brunch with friends, and running errands after.

To me, the standout pieces are the accessories. I simply adore the Valentina sneakers paired with ruffle crew socks. Whoever brought ruffle socks back to court fashion is my favorite trendsetter because I’m so charmed by this feminine detail.

I also really love the thyme color for the spin striped-trim tank top and the matching  deuce pleated tennis skirt. The soft green is so elegant and the stripe detailing adds a little extra pop to the otherwise simple look.

I also like how the skirt is a satisfying mix of pleated and straight. With two box pleats at the hip, it creates a flattering shape with clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic.

And with fabrics made with polyester and elastane, it’s perfect for competitive court play.

Topped off with matching sweatbands, it’s just too chic. I will be the best dressed at my court if I arrive in one of these fits.

Though all of the branding for this launch is tennis-based, I believe that in racket sports we’re all one big happy family. And Head makes pickleball paddles anyway, too, so welcome to the picklespere, Veronica Beard. I hope you stay awhile.
