Team JOOLA’s player graphic tees are a welcome change to sportswear design
Okay, I know everyone is talking about the JOOLA Pro IV, but I'm way more excited about the new graphic T-shirts.
JOOLA is gradually elevating their apparel game, and I applaud them for it. I genuinely think that JOOLA gets all the credit for elevating Ben Johns’ pickleball wardrobe because I wasn’t the most positive and encouraging about his fashion choices before JOOLA released a line of gorgeous polos and sleek shorts for men.
Johns actually made the best dressed list in those fits.
Before that, JOOLA’s priority was paddles, which is completely fine since they were a paddle company first. But I’m so happy to see some attention put on the clothing side of their brand because I want pickleball pros to look amazing (talking to you, Ben) and I want the pickleball bros at my local courts to look just as sharp. It’s seriously a win for everybody.
In addition to their basic logo T-shirts, JOOLA released signature Team JOOLA Ben Johns and Anna Bright graphic T-shirts.
And I really like them.
The front of the white tee keeps it simple with a “Team JOOLA” logo, but the back is where things get interesting.
Looking at the Team JOOLA Ben Johns Tee, it’s an incredibly cool design with a painterly effect that depicts three images of the pro pickleball G.O.A.T. in various action shots. With a light blue background, the design is really easy on the eyes.
I also think it’s a nice touch how they designed Johns playing with a Pro IV. Only the most current JOOLA paddles from this team.
But they didn’t stop there. Anna Bright got a signature graphic tee, too.
With a bold yellow backdrop, the graphic features three images of Bright also playing with a Pro IV in three various poses. Topped off with her signature on the bottom. It’s fun, vibrant, and bright (pun intended).
Because of the style of the designs, they have this vintage feel, which is a welcome touch. And it also captures both pros in dynamic positions and shots that we all wish we looked that cool when we played.
These shirts are made with 60% cotton and 40% polyester, so they’ll wear beautifully and comfortably after washing. Though, I personally would prefer to wear a more breathable and athletic fabric on the court. But, these are great for dressing up your street style and repping your favorite pro off the court.
I’m hoping these are the first of many featuring the Team JOOLA lineup. I’d love to see what they’d do for Tyson McGuffin, Brooke Buckner, and Zoey Wang. And with JOOLA’s partnership with Andre Agassi, I wonder if that means we’ll get one featuring him as well? I sure hope so.
JOOLA has more graphic T-shirts available, but they fall more in the category of a classic athletic T-shirt you see from every sportswear company ever. Black or white shirt with a different colored logo. Nothing too crazy or out of the ordinary.
That's why I find the new graphic tees to be that much more exciting. JOOLA is thinking outside of the box and getting experimental with their designs. I hope this is only the beginning.
